Chardonnay Symposium

The first ever Chardonnay Symposium will take place at various locations in the Santa Maria Valley on Saturday, July 31. 

The event will include a morning panel discussion with Chardonnay experts from California.  Jim Clendenen of Au Bon Climate, Chris Hammel from Bien Nacido Vineyards, and Richard Sanford of Alma Rosa will headline the all-star cast of speakers that will be seperated in two different shows. 

Tres Hermanas Winery's Texeira family, along with wine maker Luke Lindquist , will be the host to the main event.  The Grand Chardonnay Tasting will be held at their Santa Maria Valley estate vineyard and wine making facility, located on the Foxen Trail in between Zaca Mesa and the Foxen tasting room.  There will be 20+ wineries pouring Chardonnay and the local food purveyors will provide food that pairs with Chardonnay. 

Byron Winery will be hosting the wine tasting luncheon, which will serve local Santa Maria and Central Coast cuisine.
