Tasting Location

The Los Olivos Café - The Wine Spectator's Excellence Award for Best Restaurant of 2007. 2008. and 2009 - is part of the Los Olivos Wine Merchant, which features one of the largest selections of premium Central Coast Wines available anywhere.

Approximately 45 wines are available for tasting or by the glass at the Café that was used as a backdrop for some pivotal scenes in the Academy Award winning film—Sideways. The Wine Merchant has over 500 local, national, and global wines to select from.

Many online reviewers say that they always stop here while wine tasting because of the great wine selection and because they can also order from the Café’s handcrafted mediteranian cuisine. The reviewers also enjoy dining outside on the comfortable patio that has a shaded view of downtown Los Olivos.

Serving lunch and dinner daily, the Café’s warm, inviting ambiance, friendly service and excellent cuisine offers locally sourced ingredients, some of which come from Sam’s own ranch, and continues to win rave reviews from Sunset, Westways, Gourmet, Los Angeles Times as well as being the proud recipient of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence along with many other accolades.

The Los Olivos Wine Merchant & Café is also home to: Owner Sam Marmorstein’s, Bernat Wines, and the Santa Babrara Wine Club.
