The 2007 La Rinconada Pinot Noir is exclusively sourced from our estate vineyard in the esteemed Santa Rita Hills AVA. Dijon clones 667, 777 and 114 planted on a well drained west facing slope, give great intensity and complexity. The wine is deep ruby red in color and is exploding with bing cherry and black raspberry aromas, with a hint of anise and cola. The palate delivers flavors of plum and cherry framed nicely by bright acidity and ripe mouth coating tannins.
The wine was allowed to age in French Oak barrels (50% New) for 10 months where it gained concentration and a velvety texture. While enjoyable now, this wine has the balance and concentration to age gracefully for the next 5 to 10 years.
